Blue Lace Agate Meaning, Uses & Care

Blue lace agate is banded chalcedony in powder-blue and white, the bands fine as watermarks — among the gentlest-looking stones in the whole trade, and the best material comes from a handful of southern African deposits. Agates take their names from their patterns; this one earns it.

What blue lace agate is used for

The tradition gives it to gentle speech: anxiety eased, hard things said softly, the voice steadied. It is the classic recommendation for people who go quiet under stress or sharp under pressure — the throat chakra's calmest resident.

A worry stone before the difficult phone call. Its entire character is de-escalation, and the look of the stone tells you that before any book does.

How to care for it

Rinse briefly; cleanse on selenite. A brief rinse is fine; cleanse it on selenite.
