Unakite is an altered granite — pink feldspar, green epidote and quartz in one mottled stone — first described in the Unaka mountains on the Tennessee–North Carolina line. Pink and green in a single pebble: the heart chakra's two colours grown together, which the tradition noticed immediately.
What unakite is used for
It is the stone of slow, kind growth — emotional balance built gradually, convalescence, the long unhurried mend. Nothing about unakite is urgent. It is recommended for recovery of every sort and for couples, on the strength of that grown-together pink and green.
A tumbled piece kept through a slow season. This is the stone equivalent of a long walk, and it is priced like a pebble.
How to care for it
Water-safe; recharge in nature. Rinse it; recharge it in earth or moonlight.
